In a heartfelt plea for assistance, Benetha Harda, a dedicated single mother of two in Bong Mines town of Fuamah District lower Bong County, has called on local authorities and humanitarian organizations to help her upgrade her corn farm, a vital source of income and sustenance for her family.
Madam Harda, who has been cultivating corn on her modest farm in Lower Bong County for the past three years, has faced numerous challenges, including inadequate resources, unpredictable weather conditions, and limited access to agricultural technology.
With rising costs and diminishing yields, she is struggling to provide for her two children, aged 8 and 5.
“I have always believed that hard work and dedication can change our lives,” Madam Harda shared in an emotional interview. “But without proper tools and support, it is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain our livelihood. I want to give my children a better future, but I need help to do that”, she explained.
Despite her determination, Madam Harda’s farm has suffered setbacks in recent seasons due to pest infestations and poor soil quality.

“I am reaching out to government agencies, NGOs, and anyone who can lend a helping hand,” she said. “With even a small amount of support, I could expand my farm and ensure my children have enough to eat and send them to school, she re-emphasized.
