President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a congratulatory message to the President of the European Commission, Madam Ursula von der Leyen on her re-election as President of the European Commission on July 18, 2024.
In his message to Madam Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, and in his own name, extended warm congratulations to Madam Ursula von der Leyen on her re-election as the President of the European Commission.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Boakai stated that her re-election as President of the European Commission for the next five years bares testament to her enduring exuberance and the sturdy leadership she has demonstrated while leading the commission.
“As a leader who has faced adversity and triumphed, I am confident that you will lead the commission through these challenging times on the continent of Europe and the world at large.
I am also hopeful that under your stewardship, the bond subsisting between the European Union and Liberia will be further heightened as we explore new spheres of partnership and international cooperation”, President Boakai intoned.
President Boakai then wished Madam Ursula von der Leyen continuous good health, and for the people of the European Union, Unity and prosperity.
