Margibi County: Kakata City Corporation seek public Assistance in Addressing Mobility Challenges
The Kakata City Corporation (KCC) has been faced with obstacles due to a lack of mobility, according to the communication Officer, Mr. Daynuah Teah.
The lack of vehicles is posing a serious challenge to the Kakata City Cooperation’s ability to carry out its responsibilities as an arm of Margibi County’s local government.
Mr. Teah also added since the appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Goll Sr as Mayor of Kakata City, the city has been grappling with a scarcity of vehicles and insufficient manpower to tackle the task of transforming Kakata into a clean and healthy city.
He noted despite their efforts as City Government pleaded for assistance have thus far gone unanswered.
Mr. Daynuah Teah expressed his disappointment with the lack of support, stating that they have repeatedly reached out to the Margibi Legislative Caucus leadership to address the constraints faced by the Kakata City Corporation. Something he, their appeals have not yielded any positive results.
However, the City Government remains determined to make Kakata a clean city and has been actively engaging with prominent citizens and organizations to seek support he said.
The KCC communication boss further asserted that his institution is tirelessly working to secure the necessary resources and collaborate with stakeholders to overcome the mobility challenges they face.
In the pursuit of their goal, the City Government has noticed a disturbing trend of some citizens near the city habitually dumping waste in the streets under the cover of darkness.
Mr. Teah denounced these acts are wicked and emphasized their detrimental impact on the progress made by the Kakata City Corporation over the years.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Mr. Teah issued a strong warning to residents living in communities within the city limits, cautioning them against engaging in such unscrupulous activities.
He emphasized that such behavior is punishable by the city ordinance, and urged citizens to respect and support the city’s efforts to maintain cleanliness and order.
The Kakata City Corporation is meanwhile calling for assistance and intervention from the government and humanitarian organizations, stating it’s essential to address the lack of mobility faced by the local government.
With the necessary resources and support, Kakata City aims to overcome its current challenges and achieve its vision of becoming a clean and well-functioning city for its residents and visitors alike.
