As gradual preparation leading to the hosting of the 2024/ 2025 , National County Sports Meet gears up, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has named Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County as the Official host County and venue for the opening of the 2024/ 2025 edition of the Nation’s biggest sporting festivity.
Making the pronouncement on Thursday July 4, 2024, Assistant Youth and Sports Minister Murvee Gray disclosed that they are putting in place preliminary mechanism to ensure the conduct of Official month long sporting event.
According to Assistant Minister Gray, the 2024/2025 edition will feature two regular disciplines, Male and Female Soccer and Liberia’s traditional sport, Kickball respectively.
With five months to preparations, the Official host of the National County Sports Meet has already set up four Groups for the sporting festivity to include, A, B, C and D respectively.
He said Bong County will be the host of Group A and will have as visitors, Grand Bassa, Bomi and Maryland Counties .
Group B will see Grand Gedeh as Host while Grand Kru, Montserrado and Margibi will be guests Counties.
As for Group C, Sinoe will be the host while , Rivercess, Lofa and Gbarpolu will come all face to face in that group and the official host County which is Grand Cape Mount as Group D , will also have Nimba and Rivergee respectively.
The first week in December has been set thus far as the tentative time for Official commencement.
Meanwhile , Last edition was won by Rivergee in Football and Rivercess in Kickball respectively.
