G Sensee Massaquoi, a victim of a recent fire incident, is urgently appealing to International Organizations and the National Government for assistance.
In an exclusive interview with KMTV Liberia, Massaquoi shared his heartbreaking story of losing both his home and job on October 9th, 2023.
“The fire not only left me homeless, but it also resulted in significant financial setbacks”, he cried.
Massaquoi, a business entrepreneur based in Kinjor, said he lost $1.9 million Liberian Dollars, 566 bags of cement, three bundles of Zinc, and other essential items.
Prior to the incident, Massaquoi was involved in mobile money business and had been providing assistance to workers from the Bea Mountain Mining Company in their payment transactions; as a result of the fire, he now owes salaries to six individuals.
This devastating turn of events has brought Massaquoi’s life to a standstill, deeply affecting his entire family, especially his mother who has been highly distressed since the incident.
Desperate to get back on his feet, he emphasized his desire to resume his business activities, calling for any aid intervention to focus on empowering him financially.
Massaquoi has been actively involved in youth empowerment, particularly in promoting self-employment opportunities.
However, his ability to contribute to such initiatives has significantly diminished since the fire incident and at the same time called on Madam Finda Bondo, Rescue Mother, Sekou Kalasco and well meaning Liberian to get back to his usual business life.
The situation demands immediate attention and support from both local and international entities as Massaquoi strives to rebuild his life and continue supporting his family.
