In a momentous event that captured the hopes and aspirations of Bong County, Loleyah Norris was officially sworn in as the new Superintendent of the region, signalling a new era of progress, accountability, and development. With a resounding call to action, Superintendent Norris outlined her ambitious vision for the county, promising to lead with integrity, transparency, and a steadfast commitment to driving positive change.

Amidst a backdrop of cheering supporters and dignitaries, Superintendent Norris took centre stage at the inauguration ceremony, expressing her deep gratitude to Liberia’s President Joseph Boakai for the opportunity to serve the people of Bong County. Embracing the weight of her new responsibilities with grace and determination, she articulated her unwavering dedication to fostering a culture of growth, unity, and prosperity throughout the region.

“I stand before you today with a profound sense of duty and a deep-seated belief in the potential of Bong County,” Superintendent Norris declared. “Together, we will embark on a journey of transformation, guided by principles of honesty, inclusivity, and a shared commitment to building a better future for all.”

At the core of Superintendent Norris’s agenda lies a robust strategy to combat corruption and ensure accountability in governance. Recognizing the corrosive impact of corruption on the county’s development prospects over the past, she announced a bold initiative to conduct a comprehensive audit of the previous administration, laying the groundwork for a new era of transparency and ethical leadership.

“Corruption is a cancer that undermines the fabric of our society and stifles our progress,” Superintendent Norris affirmed. “As we set out to confront this challenge head-on, we must hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards of integrity and ensure that the trust of our people is upheld at all times.”

In addition to her anti-corruption efforts, Superintendent Norris unveiled a multi-faceted plan to drive sustainable development and improve the quality of life for Bong County residents. From infrastructure upgrades and job creation initiatives to healthcare improvements and educational enhancements, she pledged to prioritize the needs of the community and work tirelessly to address pressing challenges facing the region.

“As we forge ahead on the path to development, we must be guided by a shared vision of progress and a steadfast resolve to leave no one behind,” Superintendent Norris emphasized. “By investing in our people, empowering our communities, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, we will unlock the full potential of Bong County and create a brighter future for all.”

As Superintendent Loleyah   Norris assumes her new leadership role in Bong County, she stands poised to inspire change, install hope, and pave the way for a more prosperous and inclusive future.

Some of the citizens who attended the program expressed hope that Madam Norris will serve in the best interest of the county and its people.

Prince Coleman of Old Iron-gate Community: From what I saw during the induction ceremony and with reference to her speech, I am optimistic that she will deliver, Prince said. All we need to do is to give her time and stop the criticism for now.

Marie Kerkulah of Bassa Community: Ma Norris is a mother, she is organized and as a woman, she will do all it takes to make Bong County better. I am so happy that she was appointed by the President of Liberia.
