In a move to bridge the male dominate gap across the Country, more empowerment initiatives for young women continue to pull in .
As Non for profit organizations having realized that specialized skills is a big contributing factor to ensure such gap is close, are engaging into such endeavor for the betterment of the future young leaders of Liberia.
Well, In continuation of capacity development interventions intended to empower women and girls to compete equally with their male counterparts in the educational sector, the Kutoa Afrika Foundation,graduated more than 15 young women who successfully completed a three-month intensive computer training program.
Serving as keynote speaker at the occasion was Debbie Caranda, Proprietress of the School of Prime System who emphasized the importance of acquiring specialized skills.
She noted that having such skills contributes greatly to personal achievement and fulfillment in life.
“Preparedness gives a sense of purpose and sets a goal for success,” Madam Caranda stated.
She urged the graduates to remain steadfast in their educational journey, despite the strong male-dominated culture of leadership in Liberia, which she said may not always welcome female competition.
“That should not deter you,” she encouraged. “Your education is your power.”
For his part, Emmanuel Kpoto, Executive Director of the Kutoa Afrika Foundation, stressed the vital role of girls’ education in building equitable and progressive societies.
He encouraged parents and guardians to continue supporting the education of their daughters.
Kpoto noted that the Foundation was established to challenge the prevailing social norms and foster meaningful change in communities.
He reaffirmed the organization’s unwavering commitment to transforming lives through education, advocacy, and community empowerment.
