MOVEE Settles Internal Conflict As Expelled Officials Apologize To Political Leader Kemayah For Wrongful Allegations, Begs For Forgiveness

The Movement for Economic Empowerment has announced the official resolution of its internal conflicts within the party.

The Political Institution over the last six months battled internal political differences, fights, conflicts and divides due to among other things political direction, structure and governance in the aftermath of the 2023 general and presidential elections.

Speaking to reporters on Monday November 5, 2024, Jeremiah Paye, one of the ranking leaders of the crisis attributed the resolution of their internal conflict to the demonstration of quality leadership exhibited by their political leader, Amb. Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah Sr.

“His forgiving spirit especially through his intervention has immensely contributed to resolving our internal conflict as such, worth commendation “, he re-emphasized.

Jeremiah told journalists that during the conflict, Amb. Kemayah among other things held several reconciliation meetings with executives, active and inactive partisans and other who left the party for different reasons something that now yielded great fruits.

Reading a statement to the press, the former expelled official of the Party, Jeremiah Paye on behalf of he and his colleagues apologize for among other things Wrongfully accusing the political leader of MOVEE, Amb. Dee- Maxwell Saah Kemayah Sr.

“All the aforesaid unprovoked, unwarranted and unfounded allegations and the case and all charges levied against our astute political leader, Amb. Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah Sr. have been categorically withdrawn and dropped with prejudice , effective the October 31, 2024 submission date of the complaint withdrawal to the National Elections Commission”, he added.

Moreover, he stressed that their decisions to withdraw the case at the NEC dated October 31, 2024 is also due to the prevailing realities, coupled with the critical need and their desire to move forward aimed at fostering genuine peace, unity and reconciliation within the party.

Mr. Paye, at the same time disclosed that they as former aggrieved officials have categorically reaffirmed and further recognized Amb. Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah Sr. as their political leader up to the 2029 general elections.

” The Executive Committee of MOVEE now unanimously declared a vote of confidence in the wholesome integrity, professionalism, credibility, ability, leadership qualities of Mr. Kemayah .

Paye at the same time reiterated their apology to their political leader, regret their action and pledged their committment, loyalty and dedication to the party while at the same time reassuring their political leader that they will follow his instructions, directives , impactful leadership and guidance respectively.

Paye reading the statement used the ocassion to call on all partisans of MOVEE to put their differences aside and focus on the common goal of moving the Party forward especially under the leadership of Mr. Kemayah.

Meanwhile, In a move to accelerate the reconciliation effort, Mr. Paye also disclosed that the previous plan date for the holding of the national convention remains unchanged.
