Over 13 women has received Empowerment in Pastry Arts from the Women with Initiatives Empowerment programs.
Women with Initiatives (WWI) based in the US is partnering with Refuge Evangelical Baptist Church in Liberia to training women in skills.
The program has so far Empowered over 40 women in Pastry.
The training program helps students cover all materials cost or other special need.
Speaking on the theme: Women Arise, Empower and Inspire Future, a board member of WWI and also as guest speaker madam Cyhrl Krangar Wreh inspired the graduates to go out there and earn a living from the skills learned.
She said women are the one who are keeping homes and to the extend the society. She encourages the Graduates to work hard in making sure their children are in school, and also making their husband proud from the work they do.
“No matter how hard the road is, you new Graduates will be honored and you will bless God and call on his name.” Madam Wreh noted.
Madam Wreh at the same time called on the Graduates to be focus in making sure their Products are good and nice. “Some of you have your children, brother, and other family members living with you and they depend on you for feeding, school fees and other needs, so focus to do your best. ” she said.
Madam Wreh has assured the church of WWI commitment of continuing the Pastry program. According to her the organization is planning to move the program into other communities in Liberia, and the plan includes adding other skills like tailoring tie-dye among others.

Called on graduates to be focus in selling.
While giving them materials to start their businesses after graduation, Rev. Dennis encouraged them to go out and multiple the few materials given to them.
He also used the occasion to called on member of the church and others living in the community to take advantage of the fourth batch.
Rev. Dennis said the program will move to other Communities this year 2024, as WWI is aimed at making more impact in Liberia.
