Gonet Academy, a leading digital and in-person learning platform, career advancement and continuous professional development institution in Liberia, graduated 195 students in various professional disciplines after an intensive three-month training.

Gonet Academy runs under GonetAfrica, a registered educational organization in Liberia with accreditation from the Ministry of Education Liberia. The institution provides training and capacity building programs and services to equip individuals and institutions with in-demand training, career advancement and professional development courses.
Courses offered include Project Management, Project Proposal Writing, Monitoring and Evaluation, Procurement and Contract Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Financial Management, Internal Audit and Control, Occupational Health and Safety Management, Human Resource Management, Data Analysis Using SPSS, Advanced Excel, Complete Microsoft Suite, Public Speaking, Entrepreneurship and Business Management, among others. Meanwhile, the institution will begin its first diploma program for the above mentioned courses in February of this year.

Speaking at the 7th Cohort graduation of Gonet Academy, graduates were inspired by the Keynote Speech delivered by Mr. Isaac Muapoh, an expert in the field of education and training. Mr. Muapoh shared insights on the importance and impact of professional education and the surprised benefits of failure.

Mr. Isaac Muapoh who is the Executive Director of Educate the NextGen (ETN) emphasized how crucial professional education is for individuals who want to succeed in their careers. He noted that in today’s rapidly changing workforce, it’s critical for professionals to stay up-to-date with the latest skills and knowledge in their respective fields. Without ongoing education and training, workers risk becoming obsolete and unable to compete in the job market as well as perform on the job.

To illustrate this point, the Keynote Speaker shared a few examples of industries that have undergone significant transformations due to technological advancements and changes in consumer demand. He explained how professionals in these industries who failed to adapt to these changes found themselves out of work or struggling to keep up with their peers.

However, Mr. Muapoh also emphasized that professional education isn’t just important for individual success—it’s also critical for the overall health and growth of the economy. He pointed out how countries with well-educated workforces tend to have stronger economies and higher standards of living. By investing in professional education, businesses can contribute to the greater good of society while also improving their bottom lines.

Isaac Muapoh concluded his speech by encouraging graduates to take advantage of the many resources available to them for professional education and training. He cited online courses, mentorship programs, and industry associations as examples of ways that professionals can stay current and relevant in their fields.

At the same time, Mr. Muapoh keynote speech served as a call to action for the graduating class to prioritize their ongoing education and to recognize the vital role that professional education plays in personal and societal success.

Meanwhile, Mr. Mohammed Kerkulah CEO of Gonet Academy, used the medium to thank his team for a successful completion of Cohort-7, adding that the cohort was successful through the cooperation of the staff and trainers at Gonet Academy.
Kerkulah also noted that Gonet Academy is a professional institution that have graduated over 500 professional men and women across Liberia.
“We have successfully trained and graduated 630 people from our professional certificate training program across 200+ institutions, including government ministries and agencies, international organizations, local NGOs, corporate institutions, private businesses, universities/colleges, among others.” Gonet Founder & CEO, Mohammed Kerkulah shared at the 7th graduation ceremony.
