President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung’s assets and liabilities publications appear to set the pace for many other officials of government to follow in keeping with best practices.

The move many considered as welcoming and laudable has now motivated and energized other officials of government to follow suit.

Well the latest to follow the lead as a leader who implements the call of his bosses is the Center for National Documents and Records Agency Director General, D. Nelson Bearngar.

On Thursday, June 13, 2024, Director General Bearngar disclosed his financial holdings to the public as part of his pledge to advance accountability, openness, the fight against corruption, and good governance.

According to him, his action fosters public confidence in the government and strengthens public sector integrity.

At the same time, D. Nelson Bearngar, the Director General of the CNDRA, has urged other public servants to follow suit in order to set an example for other public servants and citizens to follow.

As the general publication deadline in keeping with law for compliance and non compliance especially  officials including naming and shaming draws closer, the number appears to be steadily increasing even though, more still needs to be done as some pundits have heavily criticized some government officials for being late to do the right thing which they initially promised to do.
